Temple Day

One of my most favorite and wonderful things I LOVE to do is go to the temple with Larry. His youngest sister, Keli, and last to get married, went to the temple for the first time yesterday. It was an amazing experience. Here are a few pics of Larry and I outside the temple. We had a good time!

American Fork Triathalon

This weekend a group of us went to American Fork for a Kids Triathlon! I can't even describe in words how impressed I was with these kids for accomplishing this! Here are some pictures to enjoy!

There was Coleman Scott, and the Nielsen kids, Jordan and Sydne. After the adults finished their triathlon, the kids had their turn. It started indoors at the Olympic size pool...............
Kaden had about 4 weeks of good swim training so when we saw the size of this pool I panicked a little, but after watching him stick with it and complete the lap and back that they all did I was near tears......

After the swimming they all ran to the transition area where their bikes, clothes, and gear was waiting....It wasn't the warmest either so you can imagine being so cold. After they were dressed and helmet and bike they took off for the 5K route. I was able to go on this with Kaden. It was a blast! Once they completed the route it was back to transition to leave the bikes and now run a mile loop around the cemetery. I was able to do this as well. Kaden kept telling me how neat it was and how it made him feel so good to see people cheering him on, and he also said, "Mom I am so glad you are here with me!" That made me feel amazing. Overall I think this will be something we look forward to doing again!

CrimPiN 80's

I have a hiking group. We use to go once a week up Logan, Hyde Park, Smithfield, North Logan canyons and hike at night when the kids are asleep and can breath a little. Since it is winter we still try to get together once a month. Last month we decided to make music video's of the 80's. Shanna was so sweet (and Jake) to let us come to her house. We had blue eyeshadow, a crimper, and leg warmers. Melanie took full advantage of the crimper and did some makeovers. We broke up into two groups and videoed them. I had a great laugh. The first group Nicki, Shaley, Melanie, and Loni did "Bright Eyes". Shanna, Ann, and I did "I Think We're Alone Now". Seriously a really really fun night! p.s. anyone's invited :)
